It consists of Lanolin, Sunflower oil and the two best, naturally occurring water repellents known to man. Paw Pro is a non-toxic, spray designed to be used to repel ice and snow build-up between a dogs paw pads. It also prevents snowballs from accumulating on the legs and underbelly fur. This is especially important for shorter dogs and those dogs that do not shed, as they are most prone to this problem. The lanolin content also acts as a barrier between the pads and road salt. It deters road salt from penetrating the pads and causing irritation for the pet. Paw Pro will be absorbed into your pet’s fur and paw pads, so for long walks in a city setting, take along a damp cloth and the Paw Pro bottle. In case sale becomes an issue, wipe the pads and apply Paw Pro. Paw Pro contains no preservative or fragrances. About dog’s paws: Dogs give off excess body heat through their tongues by panting and through the pads of their paws. This means their pads are always warm. In the winter the warm pads melt snow and it refreezes as ice balls between their pads, causing discomfort. Spraying Paw Pro between the pads should help eliminate ice balls. Applying Paw Pro Protective Spray: Hold the pump spray bottle 4 inches from the upturned paw and spray a fine mist directly on the paw. Spreading the pads will ensure coverage between them. Before taking your dog into fresh damp snow, spray the legs and underbelly from a distance of 12 inches. A gentle rubbing of the damp fur will ensure better coverage. Never spray towards your pet’s eyes and nose. By the end of your walk, most of the spray will be have been absorbed into the pad and fur. Wiping off excess Paw Pro, road salt and slush can be done by placing a small amount of liquid hand soap on a damp cloth and wiping gently. Licking: Your pet may ingest some Paw Pro oil in the course of an after walk personal clean up. Ingesting Paw Pro should not cause any discomfort in the small amounts left on the pad or fur, as all the contents are non-toxic. Left on the fur, Paw Pro will contribute to the natural sheen and act as a moisturizer for the pads. All natural contents: A special formulation of Purcillin oil, Lanolin and Sunflower oil.
